Sorry I haven't been active College has started back up for me and I'm taking Chemistry, Trigonometry, and Zoology. So I've been studying like 20 hrs a week. I will do my best to check the site daily.

PlayTV: New features detailed

Sony might have announced that it is adding ITV player to its Sony PS3 earlier this week at Gamescom, but it's now detailed a lot more information on what owners, new and old, will be getting with its PlayTV box.

For those not entirely aware of what PlayTV is, PlayTV is a Freeview ready box that you connect to your Sony PlayStation 3 console, allowing you to watch television and, more importantly, schedule shows to watch by recording them to your console.

Chat TV

Play TV is going to become an interactive experience with the great new "Chat TV" feature that lets you text chat with friends and other PlayStation Network users while watching live TV, as if they were in the room with you. Your chats will overlay the screen, which could get tricky to read, but at least you'll be able to bait them when your favourite team scores that winning goal.

TVTV

No, it's not a picture in picture offering, but a new premium programme guide from "tvtv", strangely enough, that lets you Plan your TV viewing 7 days in advance. You'll be able to search TV listings by genre, actors, directors, producers and more, something even Sky users can't currently do.
Series Link

Finally you'll be able to set Series Link on for your favourite shows in the UK.

Facebook

Yep, like the Xbox 360, PlayTV is going all social and that means you'll be able to send recommendations for your favourite shows to your Facebook wall and also any of your PSN friends. People will be able to comment on your Facebook recommendations or even set a recording for the show directly from the PSN recommendation.
Community Favourites

This feature lets you see what your friends and the PSN Community are watching and enjoying. So if you’re ever stuck for something to watch then just check out what everyone else is watching, no doubt porn and all.

"Media Molecule has confirmed a beta for LittleBigPlanet 2 is on the way "soon".

That was is for specifics, the brief announcement only confirming that it's coming and there'll be limited spaces for eager fans to get in.

"There will be an LBP2 beta soon. We will have some more news on how we will recruit for this beta soon, but in the mean time i wanted to drop in and say that you will all be in witha chance to get in," said MM.

"If you are already in the beta group, you will automatically be in," it added. That's all.

The beta for LittleBigPlanet 1 allowed users to play a couple of levels, and then go to work on a very limited version of the game's level editor for a few weeks. We expect a similar ordeal with the sequel's taster.

More news is promised "soon"."

We've had Medal of Honor cinematic trailers and much talk of the game's lofty aims for multiplayer, but here's your first proper look at what's in store for the single-player experience.

One shows off a sniper mission, with the player having to realistically compensate for the time it takes for the bullet to reach their intended victim. The other throws you into a stealth mission, with suppressors on guns and co-ordination with other soldiers to take out an enemy camp before they can even return a single shot.

It's hot stuff.

"In the recent history of the Call of Duty franchise it’s been known that publisher Activision is all about making a better game experience by offering a pre-release beta of Call of Duty titles. Besides Modern Warfare 2, we got to join the beta’s for Modern Warfare and World at War and give feedback before release. Since those two, Activision has stopped running a beta’s on future Call of Duty titles, which was obvious with a lack of one for Modern Warfare 2.

PC and Mobile users get together for World Of Dragons Tamoor Hussain

An MMORPG that is playable on both the PC and internet-enabled mobile devices has been announced.

CorsairBand's World of Dragons GOLD takes place in the devastated world of Iglion, where the return of the Black Dragons signifies the end of the world.

The game features a large virtual world, multiple races, races, classes, items, monsters and spells.

World of Dragons is currently available on a number of mobile platforms.

An Android and iPhone version is under development and is scheduled for release in the next few months.

A recent survey showed that gaming on phones increased by almost half in a year.

34 per cent of all US mobile owners use their phone for gaming in some form and 60 per cent of younger users play games on their phones.
